Canya Tornado has announced himself as one of the sport’s most electrifying young talents, stopping the clock in a blistering 28.90 seconds over the 515 metres at Sandown Park tonight.
The son of Aston Rupee and Bombshell Bandit, Canya Tornado delivered a run of rare class – posting the second-fastest 515m time at Sandown this year, bettered only by Flying Zulu.
The Paul Abela trained chaser also ranks as the fourth-fastest time ever recorded over the 515 metres at Sandown behind Sire Aston Rupee, Wow She’s Fast and Flying Zulu
With just 12 starts to his name (five wins and three minor placings), the powerful chaser is wasting no time carving his name into the record books.
Tonight’s run wasn’t just quick – it was a statement. If Canya Tornado continues on this trajectory, he’s on track to become one of the headline acts of Sandown’s summer.
