Your Club, Our Community

Greyhound racing has been part of Bendigo’s sporting landscape since the 1920s, beginning at the Bendigo Racecourse in Epsom and moving to Canterbury Park in Eaglehawk in 1936. In 1978, the Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association (BGRA) relocated to its current home at Lord’s Raceway on the McIvor Highway in Junortoun. Following major redevelopment works starting in 2007, the venue has grown into one of Victoria’s premier greyhound racing centres. Today, it boasts modern racing, wagering, and entertainment facilities, including the versatile Chasers Function Centre – a popular choice for weddings, birthdays, engagements, conferences, and other special events.

Economic Benefits

The Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association (BGRA) is proud to operate with a strong community focus. The club actively supports local sports teams, hosts events for worthy causes, and provides community groups with access to its facilities for fundraisers and charity days.

Greyhound racing contributes significantly to the local economy, generating approximately 120 direct jobs—along with many more indirectly—and injecting around $10 million into the Bendigo region each year.
